For us, sustainability means taking responsibility
Our attitude and our understanding of sustainability are integral components of our corporate culture and our business activities.
We understand sustainability holistically and take responsibility for our employees, our company and the world we live in.
In the spirit of ESG, we act honestly, fairly, transparently and responsibly and use resources carefully. Always with people at the center.
Environment
Climate targets and environmental standards: We take responsibility for climate protection.
Social
Employee involvement and social commitment: We take responsibility for our employees and society.
Governance
Transparent and responsible corporate governance: We take responsibility for our company.
We have been a certified Economy for the Common Good company since 2024 and have drawn up our first Common Good balance sheet. We are convinced that economic success and social and ecological responsibility go hand in hand.

Environmental and climate protection
Audited by the Carbon Disclosure Project
Registered users can find out about our climate-relevant data and climate protection strategies in the CDP database. The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is a non-profit organization that aims to encourage companies, institutions and organizations of all kinds to publish their environmental impact.
Member of LFCA
We are a member of Leaders for Climate Action (LFCA) and have been climate-neutral since 2020. Climate protection concerns us all. That's why we are offsetting our carbon footprint and working on specific reduction measures to become more sustainable step by step.
€CO invoices
We are actively committed to the reforestation of the earth by continuously planting trees based on sales. This means that with every invoice paid, the wirDesign forest grows and offsets CO₂.
Digital office
Employees at wirDesign already receive their payslips purely digitally. We are well on the way to paperless accounting and are thus saving valuable resources.
Sustainable travel
Whenever possible, we choose public transport for business trips or use video meetings to avoid emissions.
Climate-conscious nutrition
We do not serve meat at catering events and opt for vegetarian and vegan food.
Audited by IntegrityNext
IntegrityNext's mission is to help companies create transparent, sustainable and responsible supply chains by facilitating compliance with global sustainability standards through their platform.
wirDesign Forest
We are involved with Tree-Nation. The non-profit organization supports companies and citizens in offsetting their CO₂ emissions by planting trees around the world. With our Christmas donation in 2022, we laid the foundation for our wirDesign forest. And instead of congratulating our colleagues on their anniversary with cut flowers, we prefer to give tree certificates from Tree-Nation.
Social
Solidarity, co-determination, transparency

On the way to creative solutions with added value, we put people at the center. Because we believe that value creation begins with appreciation. wirDesign's organizational structure relies heavily on trust, self-organization, participation and personal responsibility. At wirDesign, we live consistent collegiality and collaborative teamwork. And we are socially committed to various projects.

Further training opportunities: Knowledge increases when it is shared
We remain curious and promote personal and professional development. The wirDesign Campus is our personal knowledge hub. This is where our employees find all the access they need. We have shared internal knowledge formats to keep up to date.
Mentoring and promoting young talent
Our colleagues are involved in various mentoring programs, including Creative Director Nadine as a mentor, here with her mentee Shilong from the "Campaigns class" in the Visual Communication master's program at the Berlin University of the Arts. The one-year mentoring program serves as an "anchor in practice". We also support a women's mentoring program at the HAWK and the Braunschweig Startup Academy Growth and Innovation.
As a company, we have a responsibility to train young people well and offer apprenticeships in marketing communications and immersive media design.

Work-nice-balance
We trust each other. We offer "honest" flexibility and all kinds of working hours and models. We understand the compatibility of life and work as #worknicebalance.
Our employees' time is important to us.
We do not have complicated overtime regulations. Every hour of overtime is recorded and compensated in time off or euros.
Feedback from employees
Are your colleagues at wirDesign doing well? Where does the shoe pinch? What ideas and suggestions do they have? We simply ask: every 14 days with TeamEcho, an intelligent employee feedback platform . Honest answers in complete anonymity help us to understand the team even better and identify untapped potential. And with full transparency: the results are visible to all team members immediately after the short survey. After all, a good working atmosphere is not just the responsibility of management. Everyone can contribute to creating a good corporate culture.

Pro bono projects
Together with the Berliner Schlaganfall-Allianz e.V., we realized the pro bono campaign Seitenwechsel. With re-branding and web design, we support the Silbernetz association, a low-threshold offer for older people who feel lonely.
Other pro bono projects in recent years include the branding for Schülerpaten Berlin e.V. and the Nightline helpline.
Governance
Responsible and transparent
corporate governance
Transparency and integrity are the cornerstones of our corporate culture. Our autonomous teams are focused on market and customer needs, act with agility and achieve results quickly. With our solutions, we achieve impact for our customers and together we increase the success of their company through an optimally performing brand.
Always people-centered. Always value-oriented. With trust and sustainable results.

Our actions are guided by integrity. This extends to our dealings with our customers, suppliers, partners, employees and the public.
Compliance is a key component of our corporate strategy at wirDesign. This ensures that we conduct our business in compliance with high ethical and legal standards. A culture of integrity and respectful interaction is crucial to this.
Every wirDesign employee contributes to the reputation of the company and is obliged to comply with ethical and legal standards. An appropriate personal demeanor, honest, sincere and fair conduct and the renunciation of unlawful or unfair means are essential for this.
Our compliance guidelines are based on clear and binding rules that apply to all employees. They oblige us to comply with ethical and legal standards and to refrain from doing anything that contradicts these rules.
We take a holistic approach toeconomic responsibility. Enabling and empowering our employees also means informing them transparently about the agency's financial and business situation. This is the only way they can make decisions on the right basis and act in the best interests of the company.
-
At team level: Our autonomous teams are focused on market and customer needs and act in an agile manner. All team members must be aware of the key business figures of customer projects. This is why the economic situation is not an exclusive topic for account management: discussing and evaluating the figures is relevant for all team members.
-
At agency level: Our wirDesign Academy, or "WDA" for short, is just one of our formats for sharing knowledge. Our CFO shares key business figures and sales forecasts with all employees in the semi-annual "Zahlen-WDA".
Alternating team spokespersons stand up for their teams and clarify location-related topics in a joint meeting. Agency-wide decisions can also be made at this team spokesperson meeting (TSM).
All employees at wirDesign are encouraged to constantly strive for the next better digital solution for their customers: to question existing practices and find new ways to disrupt outdated approaches and establish feasible new approaches. Disruption is not an end in itself. Only ideas that are more feasible, more creative, more communicative, more efficient or more sustainable represent a superior solution.
As the word change is often associated with negative feelings, we speak of "flips". For us, flipping means simply trying out a new idea or method - failure allowed. Anyone can implement changes overnight. And if it doesn't work, we tweak it until it's good.
The protection of personal data and compliance with the data protection regulations applicable to wirDesign is important to us. We therefore comply in particular with the European General Data Protection Regulation and the German Federal Data Protection Act and ensure that the applicable principles for the processing of personal data are observed at all times.
We take all necessary measures to protect the personal data we collect or process. Personal data may only be collected, processed or used insofar as this is necessary for specified, clear and legitimate purposes.
The data protection coordinators (internal) and a company data protection officer (external) are responsible for data protection at wirDesign.
Because we are constantly changing, we spend two days a year working together on the wirDesign strategy. We give our wirDesign operating system the necessary updates and then celebrate together.
